Responsibilities
- As the Patient Safety Manager, you’ll:
- Lead national initiatives within patient safety and regulatory services.
- Responsible for regional partnership, collaboration and coaching oversight to the management of patient safety programs.
- Partner with leadership on accountability measures, structures and processes for safety outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with market level leadership in patient safety activities and oversight.
- Investigate or coordinate investigation of safety related incidents patients.
- Review and analyze safety-related data.
- Prepare reports for committees and/or leadership.
- Maintain records for and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for error prevention using data analytics and identify corrective action plans accordingly.
- Provide educational programs concerning safety and emergency preparedness practices.
Requirements
- Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR
- Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR
- 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences
- 3 years of quality and/or patient safety experience, preferred.
- 2 to 3 years leadership working with executives and leading teams experience, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, preferred.
- Certification in Patient Safety – CPPS, preferred.
- Certification in Patient Quality – CPHQ, preferred.
