Responsibilities

  • As the Patient Safety Manager, you’ll:
    • Lead national initiatives within patient safety and regulatory services.
    • Responsible for regional partnership, collaboration and coaching oversight to the management of patient safety programs.
    • Partner with leadership on accountability measures, structures and processes for safety outcomes.
    • Work collaboratively with market level leadership in patient safety activities and oversight.
    • Investigate or coordinate investigation of safety related incidents patients.
    • Review and analyze safety-related data.
    • Prepare reports for committees and/or leadership.
    • Maintain records for and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Identify opportunities for error prevention using data analytics and identify corrective action plans accordingly.
    • Provide educational programs concerning safety and emergency preparedness practices.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR
    • Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR
    • 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

  • 3 years of quality and/or patient safety experience, preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years leadership working with executives and leading teams experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, preferred.
  • Certification in Patient Safety – CPPS, preferred.
  • Certification in Patient Quality – CPHQ, preferred.
