Sprout Social is actively seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Business Systems to join our IT team.

What you’ll do
As the manager of the Business Systems team at Sprout, you will:
- Ensure our process, tooling, and performance monitoring are best in breed.
- Guarantee our engineering team functions at a high level.
- Utilize your experience to advise on integrations between our back end systems and configure, manage, and optimize them efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Sales Operations team to lead the development of our Salesforce environment, creating new features and enhancements to refine global sales processes.
- Grow your team of engineers through effective feedback, coaching, and career development.

If you can confidently lead teams to solve hard problems, foster teamwork, and are a self-starter who enjoys tackling complex problems on a small, fast-paced team, we’d love to talk to you!
Minimum qualifications include:
- 3+ years of experience managing functional applications and/or Salesforce development teams.
- Proven experience working alongside multiple teams across the organization with a strong understanding of technical requirements in the sales lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of integrating data between multiple systems and the Salesforce API.
Preferred qualifications that indicate a particularly strong candidate:
- Salesforce System, Application, or Technical Architect Certification.
- Experience with process engineering, documentation, and optimization.
- A solid technical foundation of REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Javascript, Apex, Python, and other scripting languages.
- Proven ability to lead talent, measure performance, and foster the professional development of direct engineering reports.
- A clear understanding of the security, scalability, and maintainability of solution design and business needs.
Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including
- Attend and complete Sprout Social’s two-week new hire training and onboarding program.
- Make a plan with your manager to set initial priorities and align expectations for your role.
- Get to know the current tooling and build working relationships with stakeholders throughout our Sales, Finance, and Marketing teams.
- Develop an understanding of the Corporate IT project management and development lifecycles.
