POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Invoice Processing Supervisor, this role involves collecting required nursing visit paperwork, performing central data collection to ensure paperwork meets criteria, and approving/submitting paperwork for payment processing.
- Ensure accuracy of documents received from Home Health Agencies and Independent Nurses.
- Organize and manage inbound work to meet processing timeframes.
- Reach out for further information when needed to complete reviews.
- Assist with outreach to external agencies to check on payment status.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & TRAINING:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in processing medical records, accounts payable, or relevant field.
- Knowledge of home health, healthcare setting, or clinical notes environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to team members.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Adaptability to changing work volumes.
- Efficient organization of documents.
- Attention to details and accuracy when reviewing documents.
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for timely collection of subcontracted Home Health Agency (HHA) or independent Nurse invoices and nursing notes.
- Review documents for conditions of payment, scan notes into the systems, and submit documents to Accounts Payable.
- Other work assigned as needed.
